Jessica Lime Cooler

Hi guys!

I hope everyone's week is going well so far! Mine is going by pretty slowly... on Monday I felt like it was Wednesday for some reason! But that's okay, because I guess it's almost the weekend now. Just two days away =D

The polish I want to show you today is called Lime Cooler, and it was released last year as part of Jessica's Gelato Mio Collection for summer 2012. So of course it makes sense that Lime Cooler is absolutely perfect for summer! Click on the link below to see swatches and a review!

Lime Cooler is a super pretty yellow-based green pastel creme that's both vibrant and soft. I love that it's so saturated, bright, and full of color, yet it's by no means anywhere near being neon. I don't own any other shades even close to this, and most of the greens I do own lean more blue.

The formula was on the thicker side but easy to work with. It went on smoothly and was completely opaque after just two coats, which is amazing for a shade like this! Everything from the color to the application is awesome, so needless to say, I absolutely adore Lime Cooler and will be rocking this on my toes and fingers a lot this summer!

All photos are two coats without top coat. I must say, though, that even though my hands look red in these photos, this polish by no means gave me lobster hands in real life. I guess when my camera picks up green next to skin, it's like "Waa! Must. Make. Skin. Red!" and adds this strange red tint to the skin that's not really there. So yeah, just wanted to clarify that.

Also, I took photos both in the sun and in the shade to show how this polish can be kind of a chameleon. The yellow base stands out much more in the sun.

Shade.

Shade.

Besides Banana Peel, Lime Cooler is the only other polish I've tried from Jessica. And I must say I'm very impressed! I'll definitely have to pick some more up... looks like they have a great range of shades!

Have any of you tried any Jessica polishes? Any favorites that you can recommend for me?

That's all for today! I hope everyone has a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!

  1. This is such a pretty green! I love creamy, opaque shades like this. My camera likes to make my hands look red too with certain polishes, it also likes to make them look blotchy too, still trying to figure out how to combat that LOL!
    Beautiful swatches!!!

    1. Thanks, Dani!! I love it too! It's so fresh and clean but also a stand-out color.

But ugh! I hate these camera-created lobster hands. If you figure it out, let me know haha :p

And I agree, it is really unique! I have so many green and turquoise polishes but none that even come close to this

  5. This is such a great color! I totally know what you mean about the camera catching you with lobster hands, lol. I don't know how to fix it either, sadly, but at least we get the real story in real life, lol. Or something. ;)

  7. That's such a pretty green. I always find light greens difficult to photograph too!

    1. I wonder why that is? Considering I found a yellow-based green that didn't actually give me lobster hands, it was annoying that my camera added it in anyway all on its own haha

  9. The Gelato Mio! was probably my favorite collection from 2012....well, that and the CG On Safari Collection so maybe they are tied. I love love love all of the polishes in this collection but I was so confused by the names. lol They were not gelato inspired at all!
