KBShimmer Don't Pink Twice and Grayscale

Hey guys!

Sorry for my absence recently! I camped in Yosemite this weekend with some friends and had such an amazing time! We hiked all day, swam in the river, climbed to a waterfall... so much fun outside. And looking up at the stars at night was breathtaking. Needless to say, I'm still so happy! If you like the outdoors then I definitely recommend checking out Yosemite if you've never been there... it's absolutely beautiful.

The only problem (if you could even call it a problem...) was the damage done to my nails. I wanted to take a before and after picture, because my nails were literally perfect and in the best shape of their lives before I left on Friday. But now a couple are broken and there's still some residual dirt. Sad. But it was so worth it, and I'll just nurse them back to health. I'm lucky they grow so fast!

Okay, now on to today's polishes! The two I'm showing you today were both recently released as part of KBShimmer's Summer 2013 collection. These are the first two KBShimmer polishes I've ever tried... and wow! I can't believe I haven't tried them sooner! Click the Read More link below to see swatches of Don't Pink Twice and Grayscale.

If these polishes look familiar, it's because I featured them in my neon skittle manicure I posted a couple weeks ago. You can check it out here!

First up is Don't Pink Twice, a very bright neon pink shade with very subtle periwinkle/blue shimmer. The shimmer is subtly visible in the bottle, but once the polish dries you can barely see it on the nail. But that's okay! Because I love this shade and I love that it dries to a satiny-matte finish! I loved how it looked on its own, so I didn't add top coat. This polish is just so bright and a little more red-toned than other neon pinks I have. The formula was a little bit on the thicker side but it was still easy to work with and only took 2 easy coats to get the finish you see below. Since this is neon, it was difficult to photograph. So bear with me with these photos!

Next up is Grayscale, a glitter top coat. I've seen a lot of black and white glitter toppers that have intrigued me, but none like this! Grayscale includes so many different shapes and sizes of black, white, and grey glitter! The grey just makes it that much more exciting. All the glitters in here are matte (not sparkly), which I also love. There's different sized hex glitter, circle glitter, rectangle glitter... everything you could ever want! And the formula was very user-friendly. I got a nice density of glitter in just one coat. And this looked great over Don't Pink Twice!

So that's it for today! I hope you guys are all doing well! I hope you have a great day =)
