piCture pOlish Ocean

Hey guys!

I'm so sorry for my recent absence on here! I have my final cumulative exam tomorrow and then I'll be done with my first year of medical school! I honestly can't wait. I've been feeling like it's summer for the past month or so, and it's been really hard to sit inside and study with the beautiful sun shining outside. But now, I won't have to resist the temptation anymore! I'm starting my summer with a bang by going bungee jumping on Sunday with a bunch friends. It's gonna be awesome!

The polish I want to show you today is another killer shade from piCture pOlish. It was newly released a couple months ago along with two other new shades, Hope and Shocked. Ocean is such a beautiful polish! Click the read more link to see (lots of) photos and my review!

Ocean is a tuquoise blue jelly packed with irregularly shaped holo particles. It's definitely not a straight up blue, but it's also a little too blue to really be considered a turquoise. I would call it a green-leaning blue. It's a pretty unique color and definitely hard to describe. It's a very saturated polish that's full of beautiful color. And the holo particles make it even more gorgeous. It's not as holographic as, say, piCture pOlish Cosmos, but it is pretty damn sparkly and holographic nonetheless. This one is a stunner in the sun, in the shade, and indoors!

The formula was really nice, which is what I've found with the other piCture pOlish shades I've tried. It's definitely sheer, which makes sense given it's a jelly. It took me 4 coats to reach full opacity without a visible nail line. But the polish just glided on the nail so smoothly and so cleanly that I didn't mind having to do the 4 coats whatsoever! It was super easy to control and just easy to work with over all. And it dried super fast, so I didn't have to wait much in between each coat. And the best of all?? It dried so shiny and glossy all on its own! No top coat necessary with this one.

As usual, I couldn't narrow down my pictures, so I'll just show you all of them! I hope you don't mind :p All photos are 4 coats of Ocean with no top coat.

Sun.

Sun.

Shade.

Indoors, natural light. Probably the most color-accurate of the bunch.

Sun.

*Whew* That was a lot of pictures! Sorry about that! So what do you guys think of Ocean? Anyone tried it? I absolutely love it, just as I've been loving all the polishes from PP that I've tried.

I hope everyone is doing well. Hang in there, it's almost the weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a lovely day!

    1. It's so amazing, I agree! It's even better in person. And I'm glad you know how I feel... sometimes when it's so nice out it's hard to look outside so longingly wishing you could just be out there haha. It's officially summer break for me though! Yee!
