Cadillacquer I Wish I Was the Moon

Hey guys!

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! My dad is out of town, so yesterday my mom and I decided to do something anyway. It was a nice mother-daughter Father's Day... haha! We went to Santa Barbara and the weather was incredible!

Today I have another polish by Cadillacquer to show you called I Wish I Was the Moon. If you missed my first Cadillacquer review, you can check it out here

I Wish I Was the Moon is another amazing glitter-filled jelly polish. It has a medium dusty blue jelly base with "iridescent square and hex glitters and very small purple iridescent glitter" as described on Cadillacquer's Etsy shop. Not only do I love the color of the blue base... but those glitters. Omg... they're gorgeous! Their iridescent quality makes them so mesmerizing to look at. Add the jelly base and you have one amazing polish! It has so much depth to it, I love how it looks like the glitters are floating. And I like that there are square glitters! Yay!

I really really love how this polish looks. It's definitely more subtle than other polishes I own like this, which makes it a nice addition to my collection. It's much more wearable on a daily basis. Although I don't care too much about how bright my nails look in the hospital, if I did feel like being a little more toned down, I would totally rock this!

But the formula is where I Wish I Was the Moon disappoints me. It's not so bad that I won't ever use it, but it was kind of frustrating to work with, at least at first. It has a pretty stringy, gooey consistency that caused some spring-back on the nail. This also had to be applied in thin and as few strokes as possible. Any more manipulation and the polish was like "nuh uh!" But after polishing all my nails with it, I started to get the hang of it, and it wasn't so bad. Just not amazing like the formula of Remember Me!

Without further ado, here's three coats of I Wish I Was the Moon with one coat of SV to top it off.

LOOK AT THE GLITTER! WAA!

Shade.

So there you have it! Yet another beautiful polish in this world of never-ending polish possibilities. What do you guys think? Like it or no? Personally, I love it! Despite the silly formula.

I hope everyone has a lovely Monday! Thanks for stopping by =)

  1. I like it a lot too! Its so pretty with the mixture of square and hex glitters! If a color is pretty on the nails for me, I'm willing to work with a difficult formula. It looks great on you Kelsey :)

    1. Thanks, Lisa! And I agree... if a color is worth it, I'll still use it despite the formula, although I prefer amazing formulas haha. But I mean... my bottle of Turquoise and Caicos is the most empty out of all my polishes and probably has the worst formula... but I still love it and clearly use it regardless haha

  2. It's a shame about the silly formula...this is really beautiful. I think you did a great job! :) I love square glitter in a blue or purple base...something about it looks celestial.

    1. It is a shame, but at least the end result was nice haha. And I love the square glitter too! Celestial is the perfect word

  3. What can I say, lol... Super pretty, but bummer about the formula. I've got one particular glitter that was a complete pain in the neck to apply, but it's been long enough since I last used it that I'm ready to give it another go. I guess I'm not as forgiving as you all, lolol ;) Bummer that your dad was out of town, but cool that you and your mom made the best of it :)

    1. Haha don't you just love polishes like that that you love but it's just too much effort to use? That's how I used to feel about pretty much all my glitters haha
