a England St. George

Hey guys!

I hope you're having a good weekend and a nice relaxing Sunday before the week starts.  My weekend has been good... I spent Friday relaxing with my boyfriend (which was great), but the rest of the time I have been studying for my dermatology exam that I have tomorrow.  I've only been back at school for one week, and I already have a test!  Oh med school... (yes, med students complain a lot :p).

Anyways, today I'm showing you an amazing polish from a England's The Legend collection.  This indie brand is one that is new to me, and, even though it's only been around for 2 years, it has made quite an impact on the polish world!  Even though this is the first a England polish I have tried, I am SO impressed and excited to try more and do some nail art with them!  Check out a review and pictures after the jump.

St. George is a gorgeous dark forest green color with a hint of blue/teal.  I've seen a lot of people describe this polish as teal, but indoors and in the shade it looks pretty green to me.  Outdoors in the sunlight, the teal comes out a bit more.  The color is vibrant and saturated, and the polish contains subtle scattered holographic shimmer.  The holo isn't super strong, but that's okay because I actually think the slight holo serves to accentuate the color of the polish by flashing predominantly green/blue shimmer particles.  It also gives the polish that glow-y look.

What makes this polish so incredibly perfect is the formula.  It glides on very smoothly and... wait for it... is completely opaque and perfect in ONE COAT! Yeah, you read that right, just one coat of St. George is all you need.  I ALWAYS do 2 coats just for safe measure, but not with this polish.

Even though I tried my best to capture all of St. George's beauty in my pictures, it's definitely the type of polish you have to see in person to truly appreciate.  My boyfriend kept getting frustrated with me because I kept staring at my nails while we were hanging out haha.  All the photos below are one coat of St. George with one coat of Sally Hansen Insta Dri top coat.

I  wore St. George for 3 days and I hadn't experienced any chipping by the time I took it off last night.  However, don't forget your base coat with this one because it's prone to staining, although it's not as bad as similar shades.

You can purchase a England polishes from their website http://a-england.co.uk.  I recommend checking it out if you like this polish, because they're currently having amazing deals to celebrate their 2-year anniversary!  They even ship to the US for free from England.  I ordered another green shade called Dragon that I'm really excited to try.  I'll post pictures as soon as it comes in the mail!

So do you guys have any experience with a England polishes?  Which are your favorites? Are there any that you've been wanting to try?

I truly appreciate everyone that has been reading the blog. It's nice to have an outlet to share my polish obsession with other people who are equally as obsessed, and it's been nice connecting with some of you.  Thank you so much for reading!
